A New Chapter of Service: Meet Majors Roger and DeeAnn Glick
The Salvation Army of Orange and Osceola Counties is thrilled to welcome our new Area Commanders, Majors Roger and DeeAnn Glick!
With decades of ministry experience, the Glicks bring with them a passion for servant leadership, community engagement, and Christ-centered transformation. Their journey through various appointments including leadership roles in Kansas, Wisconsin, Florida, Arkansas, Alabama and most recently Central Maryland reflects their deep commitment to both the mission of The Salvation Army and the people they serve.
Before their current appointment, the Glicks served for over 35 years with purpose and a heart for God's people.
Their calling has also extended beyond traditional roles. During a season outside of active officership, Roger was ordained in the Church of the Nazarene and co-pastored alongside DeeAnn in Missouri, while also working in property management. That season reaffirmed their shared sense of purpose and ultimately brought them back into full-time Salvation Army ministry, where Roger later served in Development and DeeAnn returned as a Corps Administrator.
Commissioned in 1990 as part of the Witnesses for Jesus Session, the Glicks are alumni of the College for Officer Training in Chicago. They also hold academic credentials from Olivet Nazarene University and MidAmerica Nazarene University, where Roger graduated cum laude with a degree in Religion.
The Glicks are deeply devoted to helping others experience lasting spiritual transformation. They hold fast to the belief that holiness is not just a doctrine, but a daily way of living, one that calls us into unity, love, reconciliation, and mission in a world that longs for hope. Their ministry places great emphasis on building healthy congregations, nurturing strong families, and serving with both grace and conviction.
They are the proud parents of five children: Emma Louise Muriel Perez (Johnny), Sadie Grace Marie Glick, Elijah James Frederick Glick, Tressa Rose Francis Glick, and Jacob Allen Patrick Glick.
As they begin this new chapter in Central Florida, the Glicks are eager to connect with the local community, empower our teams, and continue the Army’s mission of meeting human needs in His name, without discrimination.
Please join us in giving them a warm welcome to Orange and Osceola Counties.
